FireProtect 2 by Ajax Systems, a wireless fire detector with heat, smoke, and CO sensors, has won the highly esteemed GIT Security Award 2024. The product was named as a winner in the Fire Protection category.

Designed to comply with EN 14604 and EN 50291, FireProtect 2 is the next generation of Ajax fire detectors, providing a new level of technology in fire safety. The detectors’ unique smoke chamber does not require regular cleaning, the dual-spectrum sensor distinguishes smoke from steam, the thermistor quickly reacts to the synthetic materials burning, and sophisticated software minimizes false alarms.

Thought-out design, mounting, and in-app settings make FireProtect 2 installation straightforward and quick. The detector can operate autonomously or as a part of the Ajax system, communicating with the hub via the Jeweller radio protocol (up to 1700 m).

The GIT Security Award is an annual reader’s choice award presented by Wiley-VCH Publishing. Readers and users of their various magazines, alongside other market participants from across the globe, use online voting to select products that provide the most significant innovation, the best use, and the strongest unique selling proposition. Last year, Ajax’s MotionCam Outdoor detector was also recognized as one of the winners of the GIT Security Award 2023.

” We are thrilled to once again receive the GIT Security Award, this time for our new fire detection solution. Encouraged by world standards and best practices, Ajax engineers have developed a patented smoke chamber for FireProtect 2, designed with zero possibility of contamination that can affect detection. Equipped with a dual-spectrum optical sensor and a proprietary HazeFlow 2 smoke detection algorithm, FireProtect 2 guarantees both speed and ultimate accuracy of fire detection and marks a new level of technology in residential fire safety.”
